Museum Passes

Museum Passes

We have joined Finger Lakes Library System’s 2022 Museum Pass Kit Project for circulating museum passes to library patrons. The kits are funded by the Myrtle Dee Nash Memorial Fund of Community Foundation of Tompkins County.

The library has two kits, each containing separately:

Sciencenter Kit A (with Temple Grandin book)
Sciencenter Kit B (with Steve Spangler book)

FAQs:

What do the kids include?
Each kit contains a museum pass for up to 2 adults and all children under 18 in the household, a book, a lending guide with instructions, and a survey to complete.

Who can borrow the kits?
Registered adult patrons at our library can borrow the kits.

How long is the loan period?
Kits have a 7-day loan period.  They cannot be renewed.

Can patrons place a hold on the kits?
We do not allow holds on passes. However, if a pass is checked in when you
search our online catalog, you can call us at 607-642-9960 and we will check it out to you. If you do not pick it up before closing that day, we will check it back in the next morning so it will be available for someone else.

What happens if a patron loses a pass?  A book?
Patrons are responsible for the replacement cost of the pass or the book.
Sciencenter Pass Replacement Fee: $50
